Tracey scores a hat-trick as Centurions Reserves hammer Halifax

JAMIE Tracey scored a hat trick of tries in a Man of the Match as Leigh Centurions reserves continued their league campaign in style with a 44-12 win at Halifax on Thursday evening.

Paul Anderson’s side raced into an 18-0 lead with tries from Tracey, Anthony Bate and Frankie Halton, all converted by Josh Ward. A try just before half-time from Chris Hankinson, again goaled by Ward gave Leigh a commanding 24-0 lead at the interval.

Halifax scored early in the second half but Leigh went on to dominate the game with further scores from Tracey, Corey Lee and Sam Baggaley. The home side scored a second try in the closing stages.

Centurions have one league game left at Sheffield next Friday before the play-offs begin.
