Leigh Reserves are looking to win the Grand Final for a second year running when they take on Dewsbury Rams at the Sports Village on Friday, kick off 8pm.
A crowd of almost 1,000 saw last year’s final when Leigh snatched victory in the dying seconds against Sheffield Eagles.
Like the senior team, Leigh finished top of the league in the regular season but Dewsbury have recently proved tricky opposition for Paul Anderson’s team.
It’s hoped another big crowd will be there to back the young Centurions and Dewsbury are reportedly running supporters’ coaches for the game.
“It promises to be a really tough match,” said Leigh head coach Paul Rowley.
“Last year’s final was a great occasion with Leigh winning right at the death and it was a special atmosphere with nearly 1,000 inside the LSV.
“We have again pushed for the final to be at the LSV as a reward to our youngsters and need fans to come out in their numbers to help us cover that cost.
“Dewsbury are a very strong side and in recent weeks have included a few first teamers in there.”
