Signs look good for Harriers

Leigh Harriers performed well at the Blackpool Winter Warm-up at Stanley Park on Sunday.

Competing in the first track meeting of the season the young Harriers produced a series of encouraging performances.

Adam Jamson, competing in the U17 age group won both of his races running 53.8sec for the 400m and 11.8sec, a pb, for the 100m. Also in the U17 age group, Adam Emmison won his heat of the 100m in 12.6sec and was second in the 200m clocking 25.1sec.

Luke White won both of his races in the U15 boys 100m and 200m clocking 12.0sec and 24.4sec respectively.

Another double winner was Connor Patterson; he was competing in the U13 boys age group winning the 80mts in 11.4secs and 200m 29.3 secs.

Other good runs came from Lisa Burtonwood in the U17 ladies, placing 4th in the 100m 13.3secs and 5th in the 200m 27.7secs. Shauna Devine competed in the U15 girls; she placed 6th in the 100m, 14.7sec and 6th in the 200m in 30.8secs.
