Reserves Championship: Leigh Centurions 44-14 Featherstone Rovers

Matt Sarsfield scored a hat-trick of tries against Featherstone Rovers for the second week in a row as Paul Anderson’s side ran out 44-14 winners at Twist Lane.

After last Thursday’s 44-26 victory against the same opponents in a rearranged game, the Reserves recorded a wider margin as they continued their fine run of recent form.

With a side comprising other first team squad members Jonny Pownall, Mathias Pala, Ben Reynolds, Tom Spencer, Kurt Haggerty, Lewis Foster and Jamie Acton the Centurions were 26-0 up at half-time before Rovers staged a second half fightback.

Pownall (2), Pala, Jack Hansen and Mitch Cox also crossed for tries with Reynolds kicking six goals.

Brad England scored a second half hat-trick for Rovers and Will Milner kicked one conversion.
