FUIFUI Moimoi is expected to be back in the Leigh team this Sunday for the game against Halifax.

The Tongan forward suffered a knee injury in the win over Workington on Easter Monday and has missed the last three matches.

But Centurions coach Paul Rowley hopes to have him back involved this week and give him more options in the pack.

“Fui will be good for Sunday,” he said. “Though we have managed without him he is a player we are pleased to have back.”

Matt Sarsfield is also understood to be closing in on a return to action though has suffered a hamstring injury in training. The second rower needed an operation on a pectoral injury, sustained early this year and has yet to feature for the first team this year. Last season he was a virtual ever present, scoring nine tries in 27 appearances.

Michael Platt suffered a dead leg at Dewsbury but is expected to be fit for Sunday.
