Reserves Championship: Leigh Centurions 78 Keighley Cougars 6
Paul Anderson’s Reserves side are on course to repeat last season’s double-winning campaign after they clinched the League Leaders position with a resounding victory over the Cougars at Twist Lane.
In the last match of the regular season the young Centurions made sure of top spot and guaranteed home advantage in the Grand Final.
Anderson’s men will meet the winners of the qualifying semi-final between Dewsbury Rams and Featherstone Rovers at a venue and on a date to be confirmed.
They were in dominant form from the outset, building a half-time lead of 46-6 and going on to score 14 tries.
Mitch Cox led the way with a first-half hat-trick and was one of ten Leigh players to cross the whitewash with Josh Swift and Harry Gagen also scoring two tries apiece. Jack Hansen kicked 11 goals.
James Morton scored the Cougars’ solitary try with Ben Stead kicking the goal.
