Centurions reserves boss fined for “persistent misconduct”

Leigh Centurions reserve team coach Paul Anderson has been fined £500 after being found guilty of persistent misconduct at recent matches.

This misconduct included verbally abusing a Batley Bulldogs player, squirting water at a Batley player and abusing a match official at a fixture v London Broncos.

Mr Anderson was deemed to be in breach of RFL Operational Rules D1.1(b) conduct prejudicial to the interests of the game/improper conduct; C2.3 failure to adhere to Codes of Conduct; the RFL’s Respect Policy; Match Day Operations Manual E1; and Match Day Operations Manual E2.

£250 of the fine has been suspended until the end of the 2016 season. Mr Anderson has also been warned as to his future conduct.
