PAUL Rowley has described Fuifui Moimoi as the “ultimate professional” after he played despite suffering a family tragedy just days earlier.

Centurions had given Moimoi the chance to take time off following the death of his nephew aged just 22 in the United States.

But he continued to train and played a big part in Leigh’s win over London on Sunday.

“It took a strong character to go out there and play and our lads wanted to win for Fui,” said Leigh coach Rowley.

“He has had a lot of love and support from his team-mates and it has been a difficult time for him.

“For him to play against London showed that he is an ultimate professional.”

Moimoi will miss Leigh’s trip to Doncaster on Sunday as he attends his nephew’s funeral but he is due back in the UK next Tuesday.

Rowley dedicated the win to Moimoi and his family.
