FUIFUI Moimoi will make his Leigh debut in Sunday’s friendly against Wigan Warriors in a friendly at the Sports Village.
Tongan forward Moimoi and other new signings Greg Worthington and Ben Reynolds will also feature.
Moimoi arrived in Leigh last week but was soon on his travels again to join his new team-mates at the training camp.
“Fuifui’s one of us now,” said Leigh coach Paul Rowley. “He has settled in very quickly with no dramas and even though he is high profile name he’s just part of the team.
“We have welcomed him and he has embraced us and what we’re about. He’s a good fella.”
The Kingstone Press Championship Champions returned from a five day training camp in Lanzarote on Sunday and Rowley is looking forward to getting in some gametime ahead of the new season.
“It was a very successful training camp,” enthused Rowley.
“We managed to achieve all our objectives and although they were long days they were enjoyable too.
“We had neglected ball work during the early phase of pre-season training but in Lanzarote we were able to get in something like five sessions in a day.”
Leigh were based at the famous Club La Santa complex which is used by athletes from all over the world.
“The environment really inspired us,” said Rowley. “To be surrounded by Olympic athletes and people from their national teams and so on really gives you a lift and the environment is conducive to hard work.”
Moimoi joined Centurions from NRL side Parramatta Eels in November, a signing described by the club at the time as one of their “biggest ever”.
