LEIGH Centurions reserves held Championship One side Rochdale Hornets to a 28-28 draw in a friendly played at Leigh East last night.

Jack Hansen’s try in the dying moments, converted by Ben Reynolds, saw Leigh go level but they had led for much of the game.

Centurions led 16-12 at the break thanks to tries from Sam Baggaley, Lewis Foster and Reynolds who also kicked two goals.

A converted Cameron Pitman try stretched Leigh’s lead but the Hornets staged a great comeback, eventually snatching the lead 28-22.
