Leigh Centurions reserves continued their winning start to the season with another impressive performance at Halifax last night.
Sam Baggaley, Eze Harper and Josh Ward all scored two tries each while Sam Peet and Leon Tatlock got one apiece. Ward also kicked four goals.
Prop Michael Ostick featured prominently in his second game back after a major operation while Steve Maden - normally a winger - was industrious in the unusual position of loose forward.
Centurions went behind in the sixth minute but recovered well and by half-time were 24-12 up.
In the second half the home side had a stack of possession and scored to reduce Leigh’s lead to just six at 24-18.
But Leigh finished strongly with two late tries from Baggaley and Peet.
First team squad players Mick Govin and Alex Brown also had good nights though Mick Scrivens was Leigh’s man of the match.
