Eze Harper has signed a full-time contract with Leigh Centurions for 2016.
Harper, 20, has been one of the stand-out performers in the Centurions Reserves three-quarter line in the past two seasons after joining the club from Eccles ARL. He scored a total of 20 tries in 25 Reserves games in 2014 and 2015, his final one being a spectacular touchdown in the 2015 Reserves Championship grand final against Dewsbury Rams at LSV.
Harper tasted first-team action when he played in the 2015 warm up games against North Wales Crusaders and Oldham at LSV and will join Paul Rowley’s squad for pre season training which commences next week.
Leigh coach Paul Rowley said: “I’d like to congratulate Eze on earning a full-time contract. He has been given an opportunity to train full-time with the first-team squad and I look forward to seeing him progress in 2016.”
Harper has signed a one-year full-time professional contract until the end of November 2016 with the club having a further one year option.
