LEIGH boss Paul Rowley says Salford are “deservedly massive favourites” ahead of Saturday’s fifth round Challenge Cup clash at the Sports Village.
The tie, which pits the Kingstone Press Championship leaders against the cashed-up Super League side was hailed as the pick of the draw when it was made last month.
A bumper crowd is expected and the game will be shown live on Sky Sports.
Salford are without their star play-maker Rangi Chase after he was banned for seven games last week but Rowley wasn’t getting too excited about his suspension.
“Salford have a huge squad full of experience and quality,” he said. “Even without Rangi Chase they have players who will cause us problems.
“They are huge favourites for the game on merit and will be desperate to win some silverware to justify Dr Koukash’s investment.
“We will enjoy the week and extra attention and I am looking for us to do ourselves proud.”
