SALFORD owner Marwan Koukash took to Twitter to wish Gareth Hock all the best at Leigh Centurions - even though the signing has not yet been confirmed.
Hock’s switch to Leigh is expected to be confirmed later today but it didn’t stop Koukash tweeting: “Would like to wish @gazhock12 all the very best at @LeighCenturions.”
The Red Devils boss later tweeted to his 25,000 followers: “I apologise to @LeighCenturions. I thought the Hock signing had already been announced.”
Koukash released the 31-year-old former Wigan and England second rower from his contract with Salford following heart-to-heart talks earlier this week.
Despite interest from two Super League clubs, it appears that Hock has opted to join the Kingstone Press Championship Champions.
Earlier this year, Salford pulled the plug on a pre-season friendly with Leigh prompting a Twitter spat between Koukash and Leigh’s director of rugby Derek Beaumont.
