Goulden and Higson handed bans after Bradford clash

FOUR players have been suspended following incidents in the Kingstone Press Championship Round 1 fixture between Leigh Centurions and Bradford Bulls earlier this month.

Bradford player Danny Williams has been suspended for one match by an independent disciplinary tribunal after being found guilty of Grade B repeated punching. Williams had originally been charged with Grade C repeated punching but the offence was downgraded by the tribunal.

Tommy Goulden of Leigh has been suspended for two matches for Grade C running in and punching in the incident, which took place in the 20th minute.

Williams, who pleaded not guilty, was also fined £50. Goulden, who pleaded not guilty was fined £50.

The following players were suspended after submitting Early Guilty Pleas to charges in the same fixture: Adam Higson (Leigh Centurions) – two-match ban for Grade C punching; Harry Siejka (Bradford Bulls) - two-match ban for Grade C reckless striking.
