Former Leigh player Anthony Bate - now with Barrow - will learn his punishment for a recent offence at York on Tuesday.
Bate has been charged with Grade E contrary conduct for his actions in an incident following his dismissal in the 35th minute of the Kingstone Press League 1 fixture played against York City Knights on Sunday September 13.
He could be banned for up to eight matches after allegedly confronting spectators.
The player was sent off during the Raiders’ 18-16 win over the Knights at Heworth for a high tackle and, after being apparently taunted by home fans, went into the terracing and had to be escorted by club officials to the dressing room.
Reported Leigh target Harrison Hansen of Salford Red Devils has been charged with making a Grade B dangerous throw on Hull Kingston Rovers player George Lawler in the 11th minute of the Qualifiers Super 8 fixture played on Sunday September 27.
Hansen have until 11.00am on Tuesday September 29 to submit an Early Guilty Pleas. Bate does not have the option of submitting an EGP and will appear before an independent disciplinary tribunal on Tuesday evening.
