LEIGH owner Derek Beaumont says Rangi Chase and Harrison Hansen are on their way to Leigh for 2016.

On Friday, Cory Paterson made the switch to Leigh and yesterday Reni Maitua followed him to the Sports Village,

Maitua, 33, a back-row forward who helped Canterbury Bulldogs win the NRL Grand Final in 2004, joined Salford on loan from Featherstone two months ago and made his fifth appearance for them in their defeat at Widnes in the last match of the season on Sunday.

The Sydney-born Maitua, who also played for Cronulla and Parramatta before making the move to England, has signed a 12-month contract with the Centurions, who also have the option of a further year.

Leigh coach Paul Rowley said: “Reni is a great player who will add versatility and strike to our squad. I am looking forward to him joining the team and being a part of another successful year for the Centurions.”

Both Chase and Hansen have been granted free transfers by Salford owner Marwan Koukash and are set to link up with the Centurions for 2016. Leigh have already signed forward Dayne Weston from Melbourne Storm for 2016.
