Leigh Centurions Reserves continued their strong early season form with a 64-10 success in a friendly against York City Knights on Thursday.

Second rower Martin Aspinwall come through the came without aggravating a recent rib injury to force his way into contention for first team action again.

First teamers Stuart Littler, Steve Maden and Jonathan Pownall all impressed as did youngsters Josh Ward and Chris Hankinson.

There were two tries each for Sam Peet, Maden and Hankinson while Elliot Liku, Johs Ward, Anthony Bate and Jamie Tracey all scored a try.

Paul Anderson’s side play again on Wednesday against Featherstone Rovers at Leigh Miners, kick-off 7,30pm.
