Woman denies violent knife attack

A WOMAN has denied wounding her partner with intent to cause grievous bodily harm in a stab attack.

Elenor Abbott is alleged to have wounded Craig Vernell with intent involving stabbing him in the chest on January 25 at her home in Widow Street, Leigh.

Abbott, 32, was further remanded on bail by a judge at Liverpool Crown Court until Friday August 1.

A condition of her bail is not to enter Coltsfolt Close, Leigh.

A date for her trial, expected to last two days, was fixed to begin on Wednesday August 20.
