A WOMAN has been banned from visiting her local pub for a year following a drunken brawl.

Laura Dolan, of Wareing Street, Tyldesley, admitted assaulting former boyfriend Nicky Dennon and pub landlady Tracey Marsden, when she appeared at Wigan Magistrates’ Court.

Katie Beattie, prosecuting, said that on November 30, the 26-year-old was at the Cart and Horses pub, in Astley, when she launched an attack on Mr Dennon.

Mrs Beattie said: “Dolan accepts that she poked Mr Dennon in the eye, but she denied punching him.

“She also admitted pushing Ms Marsden, the pub landlady and slapping her hands on her cheeks.”

Jonathan Conder, defending, said: “Her relationship with Mr Dennon had been volatile and both parties had been drinking. She is very sorry for what happened and she pleaded guilty at the first opportunity.”

Dolan, who has previous convictions, was given a nine-month supervision order, a curfew for three months and ordered to pay £75 compensation to Mr Dennon and £50 to Ms Marsden.

She also had to pay £60 victim surcharge and banned from the pub by JPs.
