Travellers who set up a camp on a field next to a borough school have left.
However, St Thomas' CE Junior And Infant School in Golborne will remain closed on Tuesday as a clean-up operation gets under way.
Caravans arrived at the land on Church Street on Saturday morning.

The school was forced to close today, as the travellers' vehicles were blocking the entrance on the field which is used by the emergency services and a fence was damaged.
Wigan Council has been working with the police and the school today in a bid to evict the travellers from the site.
An eviction notice was served by bailiffs this morning and around half of the travellers left, with the rest moving on Monday afternoon.
There are now plans for the school to reopen to pupils on Wednesday.
Paul Barton, director for environmental services at the council, said: “The unauthorised traveller encampment on the land next to St Thomas' school in Golborne has now left the area and our street scene team are currently on site to clean up, repair the fence and secure the site.
“The school will remain closed tomorrow until cleansing is complete but will reopen on Wednesday. We would like to thank local residents for their co-operation.”
