A REGENERATION firm has donated the use of its corporate box for a charity to watch a Leigh rugby match.

North Leigh Park Group Limited, which sponsors Leigh Centurions, has given Think Ahead Stroke Group has the use of its corporate box at Leigh Sports Village for the Co-op Championship fixture against Batley Bulldogs on Thursday 8th March 2012.

North Leigh Park Group recently embarked on a search for Local Heroes, identifying individuals and organisations that contribute positively to daily life in the area.

Think Ahead were selected for their life-changing work assisting stroke survivors, their families and carers in Wigan and Leigh.

The experience will include six tickets to the fixture, exclusive use of North Leigh Park Group’s sponsored box, a behind-the-scenes tour of the Leigh Centurions facilities, profile in the match day programme and tannoy announcement featuring information on Think Ahead.

Carol Sankey, executive manager of Think Ahead said: “This will be a great opportunity for us to celebrate the hard work of our volunteers and members by rewarding them with a fun night out.

“The opportunity to raise awareness about the benefit of healthy lifestyles at a well-attended local event like this will be really valuable, as we seek to help reduce the number of avoidable strokes every year across Wigan and Leigh.”
