WIGAN and Leigh Housing, the company managing the council’s housing stock, is inviting residents to have their say about the housing services they receive and the estates on which they live.
All residents and tenants on WALH estates are welcome to attend a local housing forum where they will be given the opportunity to get involved in the decisions and plans affecting them.
The forums offer the chance for tenants to find out what plans are being made in their area.
They are an opportunity for residents to have their say on the things that matter to them as well as providing regular updates on services that WALH delivers.
This month’s forums will be about the Better Neighbourhood Fund, and the Leisure Trust Grounds Maintenance Service will be talking about work they have recently done and the improvements made as a result of residents’ and tenants’ comments, ideas and suggestions.
Janice Barton, chief executive at Wigan and Leigh Housing, said: “Local housing forums are the perfect opportunity for residents to be involved in decision making and planning for the future.
“Tenants and residents that attend get the chance to voice their opinions and significantly impact on the work we do.”
The forums are held throughout the year, six of which were being held this week and next.
Transport to and from the forums can be provided if tenants are unable to get there.
Call free on 0800 389 7652 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information from WALH.
