STAFF at a Leigh law firm will be wearing hats to raise money for a brain injury charity.
Stephensons Solicitors LLP, which has an office in Leigh, is supporting this week’s Action for Brain Injury Week 2012, with a series of events to raise money for charity Headway.
The firm’s clinical negligence team, which specialises in helping people who have suffered brain injuries at birth to gain access to justice, is celebrating the fundraising week by designing – and wearing – hats this Friday in return for a donation.
The firm is taking part in a raffle to raise more money for the brain injury charity, across Stephensons’ offices including Leigh.
Louise Griffiths, partner and head of the clinical negligence department at Stephensons Solicitors LLP, said: “Action for Brain Injury Week is a chance to celebrate the vital and often unsung work of Headway’s groups and branches across the UK.
“We work with local people every day who have been affected by brain injuries, through no fault of their own.
“Often these injuries occur during birth, but leave the person needing a lifetime of care.
“Our aim, by taking part in Action for Brain Injury Week, is to raise awareness of brain injuries and their devastating effects.”
