OLYMPIC Athlete Jenny Meadows visited Lowton Junior and Infants School to pass on a few tips.
Jenny delivered an assembly to the whole school, where she focused on promoting the all round benefits of being active, as well as inspiring the children through her own life as an elite athlete.
This was then followed by an extended class room workshop where Jenny led an interactive discussion based around the worksheets the children completed and focused on the importance of the Olympic and Paralympic values whilst also promoting the importance of goal setting.
Finally, Jenny finished up with an extended activity session which was led by her trainer/ husband . The children had lots of fun and were so attentive and in awe of her amazing achievements.
The children at the school thanked Jenny for her visit and wished her the best of luck for next year’s Olympic games in London.
