A FUND-RAISING event for a much loved Lowton teenager will take place in Aspull this weekend.
Friends and family of Leah Davies, the 19-year-old who was tragically killed in a motorcycle crash at Martland Mill earlier this year, are holding a fun day at Aspull Rugby Club this weekend to raise funds for the Love Leah charity.
The charity, which raises money for the Walton Centre, was set up in Leah’s memory and a host of events have already raised thousands of pounds for the neurological rehabilitation centre – including £6,500 recently raised through a charity night at Wigan Roller Rink.
This Sunday’s event, which has been organised by Rachel Bailey in partnership with the Bodyfitness Gym in Standish, will see a host of fun-filled activities take place. As well as a charity rugby match there will be a truck pull, a car wash, charity waxing, bouncy castle, face-painting as well as many more activities and raffles.
The event will take place at then club at Wooodshaw Park from 2pm. For details or to donate visit http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/LoveLeah
