Two people have been charged over the robbery of teenagers in a Wigan supermarket car park.

Robert Sheppard, 22, of Fell Street, Leigh is accused of robbery, assault with intent to rob and theft and appeared before Wigan magistrates on Monday to be committed to Liverpool Crown Court until May 22. He was remanded in custody. Kyle Turton, 18, of Cameron Street, Leigh will face the same charges at Wigan Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

They were arrested in connection with an incident at Hindley Asda on January 25 when a group of youngsters waiting for their parents to pick them up were robbed.
