The four-day series consists of a pop-up velodrome, with fast straights and steep banked corners, that tours the UK and Ireland looking for the fastest riders from all disciplines.
They will be competing to win £500 in cash and an invite to the London Super Finals.
The weekend event will see big names such as Spanish BMX rider Sergio Layos, Italian fixed-gear racer Virginia Cancellieri, and Hungarian down-hill rider Csaba Csenge.
The Brits will be showing a strong field too, with MTB (mountain bike) endurance racer Jono Jones and current BMX World Champion Charlotte Green representing the male and female competition. Charlotte, from Cornwall, won her first world title last month at the BMX World Championships in Azerbaijan.
Round two of the Viking Pro Series will also take place over the weekend from July 14 to 15. Following on from last year’s successful event, the travelling velodrome promises to “dazzle the public” with a thrilling display of cycle racing and famous names.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to try the track, with bikes and helmets provided for free and coaching by the professional riders. There is no age limit.
