A MAN who collapsed after a dispute at a party at the weekend died of a heart attack, a post-mortem has revealed.
Police confirm that a Home Office pathologist carried out an investigation on the 60-year-old on Sunday afternoon and have now established his cause of death.
A 37-year-old man who was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder has now been conditionally bailed.
GMP say they were called to a house in Boughey Street, Leigh, at dawn after reports that a man had collapsed and died during a party at around 6.30am.
They are declining to name either the victim or the man arrested.
But have denied rumours that the pair were related.
A police spokesman said: “On arrival, police discovered a 60-year-old man had collapsed.
“He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
“A home office post mortem will now take place.
“A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody for questioning.”
