A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital following a collision with a car in Leigh.
The incident, involving a blue Peugeot 207 and a blue Lexmoto, happened on Twist Lane near Leigh Miners’ Welfare Institute shortly after 8pm on Thursday.
The motorcyclist suffered minor injuries and was taken to Wigan Infirmary. An air ambulance helicopter landed at Leigh Miners but was not used.
As the collision had blocked Twist Lane officers from Greater Manchester Police (GMP) closed the road near the bus station and also shut the junction with Fairhurst Street.
The road closure was lifted at 9.10pm.
Police are treating the collision as an accident.
