A MAN has been left with a fractured skull after being knocked to the floor.

The 18-year-old man was outside Pulp bar on Railway Road, Leigh, at about 5am on August 16 when he was approached from behind by another man.

The offender punched the man to the side of the head, knocking him to the floor, before running away.

The victim was taken to hospital where he received treatment for a fractured skull and a burst eardrum and is now recovering at home.

The offender is described as being white, in his early to mid-20s, with short cropped black hair.

Police Constable Adam Jones of Wigan division said: “The victim was left with a fractured skull after the attack, which knocked him to the floor and left him hospitalised.

“I am keen to speak to anyone who may have mobile phone footage of the attack and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident to call police as soon as possible.”
