A TYLDESLEY man has been found guilty of murdering his girlfriend’s two-year-old son after a trial at Manchester Crown Court.
Daniel Rigby, 23, had denied killing Rio Smedley. He was jailed for life.
The jury heard Rio had 91 injuries to his body, likely to have been caused by “punches, kicks, knees and stamping”.
The boy’s mother, Kirsty Smedley, 24, was found guilty of allowing or causing the death of a child.
