Police have arrested a man on suspicion of making a death threat against Labour Party leadership hopeful Angela Eagle.
The 44-year-old was arrested in Paisley, Scotland, this morning (Friday).
He will be questioned by Merseyside Police detectives today.
The arrest comes after an email was sent to the account of the Wallasey MP.
Shortly after announcing she would stand against Jeremy Corbyn, a brick was thrown through her office window, sparking a separate police investigation.
