Man arrested after one-punch attack

A TWENTY-four-year old man has been arrested following an attack outside a nightclub, which left another man in hospital with a fractured skull.

The victim, also 24, was standing outside of Vogue Nightclub near to JR Taxis on King Street, Leigh, at around 5.15am on Sunday, March 9, when a man walked up to him and punched him once in the face.

The force of the blow caused the victim to fall backwards and fracture his skull on the pavement. He is still in hospital, suffering from memory loss and is learning to walk again after losing control of his legs as a result of the attack.

A man was arrested yesterday and then released on bail pending further enquiries.
