A man has been arrested after a two-car collision.

The 29-year-old, who was driving a Ford Focus, ran away from the scene in Liverpool Road, Platt Bridge, at midday on Tuesday.

He was later caught and arrested by police for failing to stop,

The other car involved in the collision was a Peugeot.

One of the vehicles was on its side, but both drivers were unharmed.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said; “The collision happened outside a medical centre and a doctor came to assist, but no-one was seriously injured.

“One car was on its side, but we cannot confirm which vehicle it was.

“The road was closed for a short while.”
