A MOTHER from Atherton has united more than 200 women by launching her own group online.
When Paula Hancock was expecting her second child, she was filled with just as much apprehension as when she had her first baby.
So, after searching for a suitable support group on the internet, she decided to set her up her own - exclusively for mums who were due in September 2011,
And two years on, the group - September Treats - is still running strong and celebrated its two year anniversary with a party for families at Urmston Masonic Hall, in Manchester.
The 37-year-old, who runs City Connect Couriers, in Atherton, said: “When I got pregnant for the second time, there was a massive age gap between my eldest, Madison, and my newborn.
“I had a rough time with my first pregnancy and thought I would never have another child but I divorced then met Steve and remarried.
“I set up a Facebook group for women who were due in September - same time as me and about 200 women joined.
“Unfortunately there were five stillbirths and a few babies came quite early, so we were able provide emotional support to these women.
“We had babygrows and vests with our logo and made hoodies and nappy bags”.
