Shoplifter jailed for grocery thefts

A HABITUAL shoplifter has been jailed after stealing groceries from the same store twice in one day.

Stephen Williams, 33, of Keble Grove, Leigh was recalled to prison for 28 days by Wigan Magistrates, after he twice stole goods worth £75 from the Heron Foods store on Bradshawgate.

CCTV twice recorded Williams stealing goods on Friday, February 1 and he was arrested when he returned to the store on Saturday, February 2.
