A digger was used to damage vehicles at a scrap dealer in a brazen wrecking spree.

Offenders entered the yard of a business at Mort Lane Farm in Tyldesley at around 11.30pm on Monday June 25.

A JCB-style digger was then used to damage numerous vehicles stored at the site, as well as an unoccupied building, before it was driven into a nearby pond.

Detective Andrew Partington of GMP’s Wigan Division said: “This was a brazen act of criminal damage that has adversely affected a hard-working business owner.

“We’d appeal to anyone who has information to contact police immediately.”
