THE family of motorcyclist Scott Hope who died last month are calling for bikers from Wigan and Leigh to attend his funeral.

Bike enthusiasts are asked to attend the funeral procession from Sandersons Croft at 10.30am, on Friday January 9, where the 27-year-old will be driven to Leigh Parish Church in a motorbike sidecar.

Scott, from Leigh, who was riding a motorcycle, was killed after a collision involving six vehicles travelling clockwise on the M60 at junction six on Saturday, December 20.

He suffered multiple injuries and sadly died. No-one else was injured in the smash.

At the time of his death, his family paid tribute, saying: “Scott was a devoted family man with a wicked sense of humour.

“He was a loving son, brother and husband. He was kind of heart and strong-willed.

“Scott loved his motorbike, his wife and Mr Frank his dog. He has left a huge hole in our hearts and will now ride on forever in peace.”
