Former Leigh MP Andy Burnham has issued a rallying call to the Centurions faithful ahead of the Million Pound Game.
Tickets are selling fast for the crucial Super League clash with Catalan Dragons at Leigh Sports Village tomorrow, kick-off 3pm.
And Mr Burnham, an honorary vice-president at the club, is urging supporters to create a cauldron of noise to roar the Centurions home.
The Manchester Mayor said: "It is a massive game for the club. I call on the whole town to get behind the team and it would be great to see all four sides of the LSV full.
"We have to make home advantage count and make it as tough as possible for Catalan Dragons. We cannot make them feel welcome."
He will be there and is hopeful the benefits to the town of being a Super League club will be preserved.
Extra security measures will continue for fans arriving on matchday, according to LSV officials, with additional bag checks and searches.
