LEIGH based folk singer Bram Taylor this week celebrates the release of his 10th solo album.

‘Jokers & Rogues’, produced by Fellside Records, is a significant milestone in Bram’s recording career on the Fellside label.

And this year will see Bram performing in Spain, The Netherlands and the USA as well as his other folk club, festival and concert commitments throughout the UK.

On Saturday, January 28, a fund-raising Folk Evening organised by Astley St Stephen’s Church featuring ‘Bram Taylor and Friends’ will be held at the Ellesmere Street Scout Hut off Higher Green Lane, Astley.

The evening of ‘songs and humour’ is not to be missed with performances by talented husband and wife duo Gary & Jan Harney.

In addition, Bram will be headlining the evening alongside his good friend Nick Peake (guitar & mandolin) who will also be performing some of his solo material.

With a wealth of experience, Bram has established a fine reputation which has gone from strength to strength and has his audiences singing, laughing from his infectious sense of humor, and occasionally, shedding a tear or two from some of the poignant songs he loves to sing.

The event starts at 7.30pm and tickets, which include a hot pot supper, are £10 and available by calling Phil Dand on 01942 879608.
