Leigh-based actor Will Travis is showing no sign of slowing down for Christmas.
The 42-year-old will star in three new popular television dramas while working behind the camera with students from his theatre company A Will and a Way for a festive show.
Will is currently filming Kay Mellor’s new BBC production, The Syndicate playing a gay care worker in the drama which tells the story of workers who win the lottery and also features Gavin and Stacey star, Joanna Page.
The Where the Heart is actor is also shooting Jimmy McGovern’s The Accused with Anne-Marie Duff.
This second series features Will in the role of a hard-nosed detective inspector.
From December 13, the popular actor can be seen as Mr Squires once again in the new series of This Is England - This Is England ‘88.
The acclaimed hard-hitting Shane Meadows drama will be broadcast on Channel Four from December 13.
Westleigh High School will host On Borrowed Time, written, directed and produced by Will, for two nights from December 17.
Budding actors from as young as seven will tell the story of young girl Elanna who has latent mind bending powers.
Will said: “I wanted to write something along the lines of Time Bandits, the students really liked the script and are enjoying working on it.
“Rehearsals are going very well and it looks set to be a very good performance”
