THE WRESTLING community will come together for an night of grappling action to remember a fighter’s untimely death later this month.

Grand Pro Wrestling will stage a card of exciting combat action in memory to Dom Travis, who tragically died last year aged just 31, at the Rose Club.

The main event will see Leigh fighter Joey Hayes entering the ring for a three-way bout against Martin Kirby, from Hindley, and Southport wrestler CJ Banks.

All three fighters will look to put on a show in tribute to Dom with a fight which grappling fans will talk about for a long time to come.

Other battlers from the borough will also be in the ring, with Standish’s Danny Hope joining forces with Liverpool fighter Jiggy Walker in a reunion of the legendary tag team, the Mil-Anfield Connection.

All the fighters taking part will donate their wages to charity, with all proceeds also going to MIND, which campaigns for awareness of mental health issues.

Grand Pro Wrestling will hold A Night To Remember at the Rose Club, in Hindley, on Friday, June 28. Doors open at 7pm and the show begins at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £9 per person and £27 for a family, available by calling 07703 312146. Tickets can also be bought online from www.grandprowrestling.co.uk/shop
