GUESTS driven to the venue by limousine …
Ladies wearing glamorous dresses while the gents impress in suave suits and tuxedos…
It may sound like a glitzy film premiere, but it’s actually the biggest event on Bedford High School’s social calendar - the prom!
To help pupils prepare for the big night, Bedford High School recently held their first Prom Fayre in the school’s newly built Bistro.
Pupils were able to plan their prom in every detail.
Exhibitors included: jewellery, spray tans, shoes, handbags, hair and make up, prom dresses, gents suits and luxury transport for hire.
Year 11 students put on two fantastic catwalk shows demonstrating their modelling skills as they showed off prom dresses from One Special Day Bridal Shop in Astley and gents’ suits from SG Menswear in Leigh. Hair was styled by Jazz Hair Salon in Leigh and makeup was applied courtesy of Inner Beaute of Lowton.
The catwalk, lights and music were organised by Master of Ceremonies Ben Ward and local singer Lucie Robinson performed at the event.
Bedford High’s headteacher Stephen Preston said: “Our year 11 pupils who modelled on the day really benefitted from taking part- their confidence has soared. They have enjoyed building relations and working with other pupils, members of staff and local businesses.”
