THE next production from a local theatre group comes from the pen of a writer of classic sitcoms - almost guaranteeing belly laughs.
Tyldesley Little Theatre will host a production of ‘Summer End’ by Eric Chappell from February 1-February 5.
This is the Lemon Street theatre’s first presentation from Mr Chappell who is responsible for sitcoms such as ‘Rising Damp’ and ‘Only When I Laugh’.
The story of ‘Summer End’ is a touching and funny character study of two old ladies whose early mutual mistrust changes to friendship as they face suspicion and adversity together.
TLT Chairperson and director of this production, Jenny Whur, is a dab hand at combining laughs and thrills to great effect.
