LEIGH’S funniest night out is on the move.

The Leigh Comedy Club, founded by funnyman Sam Brady in January, has moved from its original home at the Turnpike Centre.

It will now be bringing the best comic talent on the circuit to Leigh from its new home at Soundbar on King Street.

The club has already attracted some of Britain’s most critically-acclaimed acts since it was set up earlier this year, and will hold its first event in the new location with a line-up of four comedians.

Promoter Sam said: “I’m really pleased that we’ve been able to stay in Leigh town centre.

“The people of the town have been really enthusiastic for the nights to continue. We’ve had loads of emails and tweets from people saying how much they enjoyed them.”

The next event will be held on Wednesday, May 9.

Tickets are priced £5 in advance or £7 on the night and are available from Soundbar, online at or on 0845 680 1926.
