FOR those not able to jet off to the White Isle this year, fear not – Ibiza is coming to Wigan.

This Friday sees the launch of Jacks House, an exciting club event bringing funky, feelgood house music with live instrumentals to King Street’s Revolution Bar.

It is the vision of three local lads hoping to change the face of the North West club scene.

Andy Alty, 26, Chris Devany, 32, both from Highfield, and David Arstall, 29, from Orrell, set up Pure Promotions and Event Management Ltd after Andy spent last summer in the Balearics.

Andy said: “The team came up with Jacks House after seeing how nightlife is done successfully in Ibiza.

“The club scene, in the North West in particular, had been deemed to hit a stalemate so the thought of introducing some excitement back into it proved too appealing to turn down.”

Only three months old and already established in Liverpool’s Reform club, Jacks House launches this Friday in Wigan and will feature DJs and musicians with live instrumentals to bring a taste of Ibiza back home.

Liverpool-based DJ Peter Piorun, who has played on Garland’s boat parties and held residencies in Marbella’s top clubs, will be providing the soundtrack for the night.

Alongside Peter playing live will be HedKandi saxophonist Tom DaLips and percussionist G-Percussion, who has worked with the biggest names around including Ministry of Sound, Gatecrasher and Miss Moneypennys.

If that is not endorsement enough, Wigan rugby legend Martin Offiah is one of many celebrities to openly have professed their love for G-Percussion’s sets.

Not content with taking over the town, the team have already been in talks to take the event down to London and also aim to run boat parties in Ayia Napa and Ibiza in 2012 and 2013. Jacks House kicks off this Friday, June 29, and will take place once a month hereafter with tickets priced at £3 all night.
