PAUL Rowley says no-one’s place in the Leigh team is safe after Sunday’s comeback win over Halifax.

With Halifax leading 14-6, the Centurions coach sent on Ben Reynolds for his senior debut in place of the current Championship Player of the Year Martyn Ridyard.

The former Castleford youngster, who has spent time on loan at Doncaster this season, made an immediate impact and Leigh went on to win 22-14.

“Martyn is a fantastic player and I’m not going to kick him,” said Rowley.

“But he was having an off game and he would be the first to admit that. You could say it shows that no-one’s place is safe. I prefer to say that everyone’s place is safe if they’re playing well.”
