Leigh Cricket Club youngsters have star quality

LEIGH’S Thomas Gunshorn continues to dazzle!

Playing Hindley St Peters, the under 11s coasted to victory with some ease.

Tom was the driving force behind this with an amazing 6 - 6 off just three overs – that’s a wicket every three balls!

Thomas moved on to partner in knocking the runs off with a really steady and mature 33 not out. Zac Donahue with a very classy 22 not out making life very easy at the other end.

Zac has since gone on to deliver his fantastic maiden 50, on a day when he took two wickets and two catches.

Thirteen-year-old Lewis Dove has done it again for the first team.

Lewis returned staggering figures of 3-39 from nine overs. Lewis is seriously competing at the highest level here – against County players and former County players. An incredible achievement for such a young man. Well done Lewis, they are all very proud of you down at Leigh CC.
