Two Leigh youngsters have made a loan switch to North Wales Crusaders for 2016.

Halfback or fullback Jack Hansen, 18, and prop forward Frankie Halton, 19, will both spend the 2016 season with Championship One side North Wales Crusaders where head coach Anthony Murray and his assistant Alan Hadcroft are both ex-Leigh players.

Hansen graduated through the ranks of Leigh East and earned junior representative honours with Lancashire Under-19s and BARLA and also had a short spell at Warrington. He is the son of former Leigh favourite Lee Hansen who joined the club in 1991 and was the Club’s first signing from Tonga.

Halton is a former Crosfields and Leigh Miners product who also had a Warrington scholarship. Both players have played prominent roles in the last two seasons for Leigh Centurions Reserves and Hansen was Reserves Young Player in the 2015 end of season awards.
